If I could only play the game for an hour a day, I'd still be on the third world and would have given up. Overall, I'm pleased with the game, but am fully aware of the fact that this is probably because I have the time to invest in it. The 5-plant limit combined with the fact that I'm using actual plants from my inventory forces me to consider whether I really need that extra Peashooter, as opposed to just putting down a zombie-massacre-inducing plant wall of unstoppable death. The levels vary enough to really make me think about which plants to bring to the stage. My strategies and layouts from PvZ 1 are irrelevant in this more traditional tower defense style.
I love adding this new dimension to my strategy, it's completed changed how I approach the game. By the time I come back, my friends have accepted my requests and my money and resources have regenerated.Īs far as the gameplay is concerned, I'm a big fan. I usually use these walls as a sign that it's time to step away from the game for a day or two. That said, I still reach walls occasionally where I don't have to spend money, but the alternative - waiting around for some friends to accept an invite or request (I've only asked friends who I know are actively playing the game and who ask me back) - makes it pretty enticing. But I was patient, and eventually (thanks to having a job where it isn't hard to check on the game throughout the day), I was able to get to a point where the game was generating enough resources each day for me to move forward easily.
It's true, starting out, you level up and gain money very slowly, and I was pretty tempted to just give the god damn game five bucks so I could actually have enough resources to progress.
